‘Errrr no thanks’: Some West Brom fans react after hearing who’s been linked with Baggies job

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have given their thoughts on speculation linking the Baggies with Chris Wilder.

Sam Allardyce’s future at The Hawthorns is uncertain following Albion’s relegation from the Premier League.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the 66-year-old will be holding discussions with West Brom this week over whether to continue at the club next season.

Allardyce, who penned an 18-month deal when he took the reins in December, has a break clause in his contract which he and the club can activate in the event of relegation.

In case he does leave, then the Baggies have a shortlist of potential replacements and, according to Sky Sports, Wilder is one of the names under consideration.

The 53-year-old took Sheffield United from League One to the top half of the Premier League table last season, earning plenty of plaudits in the process.

However, Wilder’s second season in the top flight was a serious struggle, and he left in March with the Blades freefalling towards relegation.
