Erling Haaland tells player Liverpool reportedly want to sign to join Man City instead - journalist

Erling Haaland has told former Borussia Dortmund teammate and Liverpool target Jude Bellingham to join him at Manchester City.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has tweeted that Haaland wants to link up with the England star at the Etihad Stadium next season.

Haaland of course swapped Dortmund for Manchester last summer and has already started to take the Premier League by storm.

Bellingham looks like being the star Dortmund sell next summer, by which point he could well have starred for England at the World Cup.

Haaland tells Bellingham to snub Liverpool for City

Real Madrid are the English pair’s main competition for Bellingham in what looks set to be a hugely open race for the midfielder.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also in the chase, but their new regimes are less clear under Erik ten Hag and Graham Potter respectively.

Bellingham has been handed an opportunity for England due to the shoulder injury to Kalvin Phillips, who is of course another City new-boy.

The likes of Phillips and Jack Grealish have moved to City and found gametime hard to come by, as they look to adjust to Pep Guardiola’s demands.

Bellingham could be a long term successor for someone like Ilkay Gundogan at the heart of midfield and has the talent to shine for any club.

He recently scored against City at the Etihad Stadium, before Haaland won the game for his new side, showing Guardiola up close how good he is.
