The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester City has been fierce in recent years.
Pep Guardiola’s side dominated the Gunners for years in the Premier League, but in recent meetings, Mikel Arteta has held his own.
Arsenal are unbeaten against Manchester City in each of their last five games in all competitions, which is very impressive.
The last meeting between the two sides attracted a lot of headlines.
Erling Haaland reacts to Myles Lewis-Skelly mocking him
Erling Haaland has made the news for one reason or another in games between Arsenal and Manchester City recently.
The Norwegian has scored four goals and provided two assists in eight appearances against the Gunners, which is an excellent return.
Those goals have made the headlines, but he has had a few altercations with Arsenal players and even their manager, Mikel Arteta, on the pitch.
After a game at the Etihad, Haaland told the Arsenal boss to ‘stay humble’, and he also asked Myles Lewis-Skelly who he was.
That backfired last season, as the North Londoners smashed Manchester City 5-1, and Lewis-Skelly, who scored, copied Haaland’s celebration.
Speaking about his ‘stay humble’ claim in an interview with Time Magazine, Haaland said: “I think it’s an important phrase, which a lot of people should use, including myself. It’s one of the most important things, as individuals, to do.
“They won the game 5-1. So yeah, they got me!”
When asked about Lewis-Skelly’s celebration, he added: “If he wanted to use that moment to mock me, that’s fair enough for him. Whatever he wants to do, he can do.”

Erling Haaland has a personal rivalry with another Arsenal star
Haaland wears his heart on his sleeve while playing against Arsenal, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
The Norway international has had success against the Gunners, but he has also had some difficult battles against William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Haaland and the Brazilian have had a few altercations over the years.
The striker bounced the ball off Gabriel’s head during one game, and the defender got his revenge by screaming in Haaland’s face in another fixture.
The good thing about the rivalry is that both players shake hands and embrace after the game, even though they know full well that they will be at each other’s throats in their next meeting.
That is great sportsmanship!
