Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur hosting Everton on the weekend, Eric Dier has now been very impressed with one player’s performance in training.
It’s another vital game for Ange Postecoglou’s side as they look to propel themselves back into the fight for a Champions League spot.

Spurs are currently one point behind Manchester City, who are currently away at the Club World Cup, and could leapfrog them into fourth place with a win.
Moreover, with Arsenal travelling to Liverpool on Saturday evening there’s also a good opportunity to gain ground on the front-runners.
That being said, Everton haven’t conceded a goal in four league games.
Sean Dyche’s side have galvanised in the face of their point deduction and will be very tough opposition to beat.
So with that in mind, it certainly bodes well that the Tottenham squad look in very good spirits in training ahead of the game.
Spurs uploaded some training footage to YouTube ahead of this weekend’s game.
And during one of the drills, Tottenham defender Eric Dier was very impressed with teammate Bryan Gil.
The £21m winger whipped a dangerous ball into the box and the defender, who was watching on, couldn’t help but applaud.

Of course, it does now feel as if Bryan Gil’s chance may have come and gone under Ange Postecoglou.
Perhaps that is a little harsh, he will get more minutes from the bench, but his run of starts felt like a huge opportunity, one he didn’t take.

It remains to be seen if Gil does have a future for Tottenham under Postecoglou once this squad rebuild continues.
There’s been very little talk of a January departure, but it’s perhaps a situation that will be addressed in the summer.
And whilst there’s uncertainty over Gil, it does seem as if Eric Dier will make his departure in 2024.
Fenerbahce have now made an approach to sign Dier, although they are not willing to wait until the summer.
And perhaps a quick solution to Dier’s future could now suit all parties.
