Tottenham’s Eric Dier has given huge praise to 27-year-old teammate Harry Kane after his performance last night against Everton.
Spurs recorded a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park in their away fixture against Everton in the Premier League.
Kane scored a goal in each half to earn the visitors a point to continue his remarkable individual season, albeit there are concerns after he limped off injured late on.
The England centre-forward now has 31 goals across all competitions so far this season for Spurs, with 21 coming in the Premier League.
Dier gave a special mention to the in-form striker after his latest display:
“When he (Kane) gets in that position I have no doubt he’s going to do the job,” Dier said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.
“He’s as reliable as they come. Incredible consistency over many years. He keeps going, and it’s a credit to him and the work he puts in and his mentality.”
If Kane is unavailable for the upcoming Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, then Spurs would start as even bigger underdogs than they currently are.
It looks like there is now too much work to do for Spurs to finish in the Champions League positions, which is why they need to try end the season as strongly as possible in the league to see how high they finish.
All their eggs are now in the League Cup basket, which is not ideal when they are up against a Man City team that have been dominant for several months.
Kane showed against Everton why he’s a world-class forward, as he was instinctive in taking two opportunities that fell his way in the penalty box.
