Celtic cult hero Chris Sutton has given his verdict on the Hoops’ result last night, as well as singling Shane Duffy out for praise.
Neil Lennon’s charges were given a tough game at St Mirren as Lee Erwin gave the hosts a shock third-minute lead when he scrambled home at the back post from a corner.

However, first-half goals from Duffy and James Forrest managed to turn the game around for Celtic, as they held on to secure their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership win.
The Republic of Ireland captain now has two goals in the first two Scottish Premiership games for his bhoyhood club, this one especially crucial given the narrow margin of victory.
Taking to Twitter, Sutton was pleased with an “important” three points for Celtic, which sees them go within three points of Rangers with a game still in hand, and praised the Brighton loanee.
TBR View:
Duffy’s loan switch to Celtic was met with much fanfare and, better still, he has got his Bhoys stint to the best possible start with two goals in two games.
As well as offering so much in the opposition box, he is a strong presence at the back and, at a time when some other Celtic players seem to be struggling, he could be especially crucial in the quest for 10 In A Row.
