Leeds United striker Eddie Nketiah played for England’s Under-21s side on Monday – and the attacker received plenty of positive message from international fans on Twitter about his performance.
The 20-year-old has been with Aidy Boothroyd’s Young Lions during the international break and scored twice in a victory over Turkey last week.
He started in the 2-0 victory over Kosovo’s Under-21s side on Monday, but was unable to improve his brilliant goal return at international level.
Nketiah missed a glorious chance to score early in the second-half, but put his shot wide and should have got on the scoresheet.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden was on hand to net a brace and he’s a special talent coming through at the Etihad Stadium.
Nketiah has been loaned out by Premier League side Arsenal this season and is trying to make a name for himself in the Championship with Leeds.
The rapid centre-forward has started well with three goals in five senior appearances for the Yorkshire club and he now needs to try break into the starting XI in the league.
He’s someone that is a real poacher in the penalty area and loves playing on the last shoulder of defenders.
A selection of England fans picked out Nketiah for praise following his latest contribution for the Under-21s
Here are some England fans on Nketiah:
Foden looking really good for the U21s here, deserved his goal, Nketiah looking sharp as well

Nketiah has unbelievable movement. His finishing will come with more senior games.

Nketiah gotta take that with his left and score them, looking good though . Both his and Nelson. Nketiah being at Leeds looks like it’s having an effect already

He definitely isn’t at the moment, and he seems like he could be in the future. Nketiah seems the much more intelligent and composed player, Greenwood seems like he’s probably going to be better on the ball
