During his time in the Premier League, Emmanuel Adebayor played for all of Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace, in that order.
In total, Adebayor amassed 242 appearances in the Premier League scoring 97 goals, and most of those did come for Arsenal.
In terms of matches in the English top flight, Adebayor only broke the 100 mark for Arsenal, the club he played the most games for in his career.
| Club | Matches | Goals | Goal ratio |
| Arsenal | 104 | 46 | 0.44 |
| Manchester City | 34 | 15 | 0.44 |
| Tottenham Hotspur | 92 | 35 | 0.38 |
| Crystal Palace | 12 | 1 | 0.08 |
Although, Adebayor’s famous celebration for Man City against Arsenal has tainted how he’s remembered by some fans in N5.
Adebayor was hugely popular at Arsenal when playing under Arsene Wenger, but he did ultimately leave for City and then go on to sign for rivals Tottenham.
Emmanuel Adebayor says he’d still sign for Arsenal if he could choose any team
That being said, Adebayor was asked an interesting question in a recent interview with Stadium Astro.
Adebayor was asked which Premier League side he’d most like to sign for now if he was an 18-year-old at the start of his career.

And although Adebayor burnt some bridges with Arsenal fans, he was still insistent that he’d repeat his decision to head to the Emirates Stadium.
Adebayor said: “Because of my style of play, if I’m still playing the same football and have the same talent, I think I would say go to Arsenal.
“The reason is because of the way they play football, the culture around the club, and remember I had my idol who used to play for the club, called [Nwankwo] Kanu.”
Adebayor still doubts Arsenal’s ability to ‘win things’
In addition to those comments, Adebayor also shared his doubts about this current Arsenal side winning trophies.
When they were playing together, Cesc Fabregas said Adebayor missed a lot of chances at Arsenal.
But when assessing today’s squad, Adebayor seemingly thought that there still wasn’t the necessary experience to get matches over the line.
He continued: “For me, even watching them (against Man City), it’s hard for them to win things because it will reach a time when they will need experience, they will need a man to be in charge, which they don’t have.
“Odegaard is the captain of the team, you know the guy is 25/26, but when you go to another club, when you go to Liverpool, the personalities in the club, Mohamed Salah is 33, Van Dijk – he won the Champions League, he won the league, he won the cups.
“So the experience is not the same.”
Of course, this current crop of Arsenal players will hope that they can gain that experience and reputation together this season, finally winning another trophy under Arteta.
