Emiliano Sala might be another Guido Carrillo-type signing for Southampton
According to France Football, Southampton are among the clubs keen on Emiliano Sala in January.
Nantes striker Sala has been in sensational goal scoring form this season, prompting Southampton to consider him.
The Saints face competition from Crystal Palace, West Ham and Fulham in the hunt for Sala.
The Argentinian forward is currently in the form of his life, having scored 15 goals in 18 games for Nantes this term.
This tally includes 12 goals in 13 league starts and he has already overtaken his best ever hauls for the club.

But this could turn out to be a risky move that ends up backfiring for Southampton in a similar fashion to their big money Guido Carrillo swoop last January.
Carrillo, like Sala, is a 6ft 2in Argentinian who had been plying his trade in France prior to his move to Southampton.
The south coast club shelled a record £19m on Carrillo, according to BBC Sport, but he has been a flop.
After failing to score in his seven Southampton matches, the 27-year-old was sent to Leganes on loan this season.
France Football reports that Nantes will hold out €20m for Sala – this could be an expensive mistake that Southampton simply cannot afford to make.
