Back in November 2010, then-Valencia manager Unai Emery handed Isco his senior debut.

More than eight years later and the pair could reunite with reports linking Arsenal with a move for Isco.

Although Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s interest is also mentioned, the Emery factor could swing it for Arsenal.

And Isco would be a marquee signing that could take Arsenal to the next level.

Emery’s rebuild at Arsenal is going well so far with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lucas Torreira, Hector Bellerin and many others thriving in the Spaniard’s system.

Isco’s arrival would be exciting and it could help bridge the gap between Arsenal and runaway leaders Manchester City.

The 26-year-old is out of favour at Real Madrid so a January transfer could be on the cards.

But with his exciting skill, playmaker ability and his knack of scoring goals, the Spain international could be a real hit at The Emirates Stadium.

Isco is in the prime of his career and he could slot into any of the attacking midfield positions, or even play deeper as a central midfielder.

If Isco signs, you get the feeling that Arsenal are just one world class centre-back away from becoming serious title contenders.
