In January 2017, Rangers managed to lure American talent Emerson Hyndman to Ibrox. The talented midfielder headed to Glasgow after failing to establish himself at Bournemouth.
In his six months at the club, he certainly made a big impact. Rangers fans were very happy with his displays. In 17 games for the club, he scored four goals and assisted four. Such form saw him named the Rangers Young Player of the Season for 2016-17 – despite only playing half of the season.
So when he spent the whole of last season sitting on the sidelines back at Bournemouth, Rangers fans were disappointed for a player who had a big impact at the club.

Hyndman is, however, finding his best form once again. Unfortunately for Rangers, it is with a Scottish rival.
The 22-year-old Texan is finding his feet at rivals Hibernian. At the weekend he scored his first goal for the Easter Road side, as they ran out rampant 6-0 winners against Hamilton.
It was the culmination of a steady improvement in form from the young midfielder and Rangers fans will know all about how good he can be.
Of course, with the mass changes at Rangers since the end of the 2017 season, bringing Hyndman back was always unlikely this summer.
Fans at Ibrox will however undoubtedly be happy to see their former loan talent performing well. The only problem being is the location at one of Rangers’ biggest rivals.
