The media have been rating the performance of West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer for Germany against England at Wembley last night.
Kehrer played at right-back for Hansi Flick’s side and came up against Raheem Sterling in the thrilling 3-3 Nations League draw.
At one point in the first half, Kehrer got the other side of Sterling and into the England box, and the Chelsea man did have a chunk of his London rival’s shirt for a brief moment.
But Sterling let go without giving Kehrer too much reason to go down and the penalty was not awarded; although one for each side were given later on.

Kehrer player rating for England 3-3 Germany
German outlet Sportschau wrote after the game: “Had a lot of respect for his direct opponent Sterling at the beginning of the game. Played a lot of safe passes because of that.
“Always became strong when he switched from his full-back position into the attacking side of the game. A bit embarrassing, however, was his attempt to fall midway through the first half against Sterling and try to get a penalty.”
90Min gave him 5/10 on the night and added: “The West Ham defender was tasked with a flexible role, pushing forward into England’s box one minute while tucking alongside Sule the next.”
Meanwhile, Kicker have a rating system where one is the best and five is the worst and gave him a four, with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Jamal Musiala getting the best marks in German colours.
Kehrer is a player of international and Champions League pedigree but did not have his best night at Wembley last night, with Sterling getting chances to score.
He has found it tough to adjust to life in English football, although he did not get a pre-season with his new West Ham teammates.
After some time away on international duty, he will be looking to push on in a busy October as he looks to cement his World Cup place.
