Manchester United aren’t doing very well at the moment, but they do still have some fantastically talented players on their books.

Indeed, while you can’t really see it on the pitch, United do still have some world class talents in their squad at the moment, and according to Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford remains one of the best behind the scenes.

Speaking to FootballJOE, McTominay stated that Rashford is still the man setting the standards in United training, stating that anyone who comes into the club is always shocked by Rashford and the levels he sets in training.

Rashford sets the standards

McTominay spoke about the attacker and how good he is in training.

“You’ve been at Manchester United for a long time now, who in training still shocks you?” McTominay saud.

“I’ve been around a lot of different players and, but I’ll still refer back to Marcus, he’s so talented and the way he conducts himself on the training pitch everyday, he’s always there, he’s so sharp and electric. I’ve watched him come through the academy, and it’s almost a proud feeling whenever you see him doing so well. Any player that comes in will always be shocked by Marcus because they might not expect it but as soon as the watch him they’re like ‘there’s levels.’” McTominay said.

Working hard

Rashford is having a really tough time of it for United this season, but it sounds as though he’s working as hard as ever behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately, it’s not clicking for Rashford on the pitch right now, but as long as he keeps putting in the work on the training ground, it shouldn’t be long before he’s back amongst the goals and hitting form for the Red Devils.

Fingers crossed Rashford’s hard work in training can translate to more consistent performances on the pitch sooner rather than later.
