‘Edu masterclass’, ‘stroke of genius’: Some Arsenal fans react to reportedly imminent departure

A number of Arsenal fans have given their thoughts on the reports claiming Sead Kolasinac could be leaving the Emirates Stadium for up to £11m.

German outlet Kicker reported on Wednesday that Bayer Leverkusen, who have been in talks with the Gunners over the 27-year-old, have decided to move for him.

Kolasinac’s sale will earn Arsenal between 10m and 12m Euros (£9m and £11m), according to the publication.

Leverkusen have reportedly been in need of bolstering their left-back position for a while and, after looking at several options, have seemingly opted for the Gunners man.

The Kicker report follows on from an update from Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday in which he said a deal of €11m (around £10m) plus add-ons for Kolasinac was imminent.

Kolasinac joined Arsenal in 2017 on a free transfer after leaving Schalke and has made 107 appearances for the North Londoners.

However, the £100,000-a-week man is believed to be interested in a move back to Germany for personal reasons, as previously reported by Sky Germany.

Although Kolasinac has put in some good displays for Arsenal over the years, he has slipped down the pecking order both on the left flank and in central defence.

Here is what some Gunners fans on social media have made of the speculation:
