Edu Gaspar and Bukayo Saka have both reacted to Leandro Trossard’s performance for Arsenal against Crystal Palace yesterday.

The Gunners got back to winning ways with a five-star performance at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal had lost three of their last four games in all competitions beforehand, netting just two goals in the process. But a 5-0 win over Palace should keep their critics quiet for the time being while Mikel Arteta will also be encouraged by his side’s confidence in front of goal yesterday.

Leandro Trossard got amongst the goals before being replaced Gabriel Martinelli in the 69th minute, who came off the bench to grab a brace in stoppage time.

Trossard produced a composed finish to hand Arsenal a 3-0 lead just before the hour mark after a sweeping counterattack.

And it’s fair to say the Belgian has impressed Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar and his teammate Bukayo Saka

Trossard took to Instagram after yesterday’s game to express his delight at picking up all three points.

He wrote: “The perfect way to celebrate my first year at Arsenal.”

His teammates flocked beneath the post to congratulate him on an eye-catching display, with the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Odegaard and Saka all leaving comments.

It’s no secret that Arsenal had struggled in the final third in recent weeks but netting five goals should hand them a much-needed confidence boost.

Trossard put in an encouraging display before being replaced by Martinelli in the second half.

The £27 million man was brought into the starting XI due to Martinelli’s recent dip in form and the move from Arteta paid off for both players.

It will be intriguing to see if Arteta sticks with Trossard when Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest on January 30, especially after Martinelli’s brace.
