Edouard injury means Aitchison must be given his Celtic chance
Odsonne Edouard limped off against Motherwell in Celtic’s 3-0 victory in midweek and this will concern Brendan Rodgers.
Leigh Griffiths is not available for the foreseeable future as he recovers from personal issues.
And if Edouard is out too, Rodgers is left with very limited options up front.
Could this mean that the Bhoys turn to academy starlet Jack Aitchison as their striker solution?
The 18-year-old has been prolific in the youth team and for the reserves and he deserves his shot in the senior side.
Aitchison made his Celtic debut aged 16, way back in May 2016 and he scored with his first touch.
But since then, the teenager has found game time hard to come by.

With just two more first-team outings to his name, he was loaned out to Dumbarton this summer but is now back at Celtic after four games for unknown reasons.
Back at Celtic, the Scotland under-19 international is thriving in the youth team and fans will want to see him in the first-team.
Fellow youngster Mikey Johnston was given a chance in midweek and he scored so the blueprint for success is laid out in front of Aitchison.
And Edouard’s injury might just be the unfortunate turn of circumstances that end up forging Aitchison’s Celtic career.
