Eddie Gray has hailed Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich as the club’s major revelation so far this season.
The 28-year-old Poland international enjoyed a difficult first campaign at Elland Road last year, where he ended up out on loan at Dutch club FC Utrecht.
But he’s been transformed into a key player for the Whites under manager Marcelo Bielsa and is now a mainstay in the starting XI.
Leeds legend Gray believes that Klich has been brilliant so far this season for the Yorkshire giants and has hit the nail on the head with his assessment.
“I think he’s been outstanding. Box to box, makes great runs behind him and that’s what I like about him. He will get beyond the front people,” Gray told LUTV.
“He’s been the revelation so far this season from what we have seen, he’s been the man that is part of the jigsaw.”
Klich’s rise in the last few months at Leeds has been somewhat of a surprise, but it seems like he keeps getting better every week.
The central midfielder has an incredible work-rate that fits in with Bielsa’s style and he also has an attacking licence to go forward.
He has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring four goals and supplying three assists in return.
The Poland international certainly is the biggest Leeds revelation under Bielsa and it makes his exile last year the even more bizarre.
