Spurs were hammered by Manchester City this evening as they were simply outdone in all departments by Pep Guardiola’s men.
Rodri’s penalty got City on their way before Ilkay Gundogan scored two more goals to continue his fine run of form in recent weeks.
For Spurs, it was another shock to the system and continued their own inconsistent and relatively poor form overall. Jose Mourinho once again opted to leave out the likes of Bale and Dele Alli, although Dele did get on the pitch for once.

There weren’t too many positives to take for Spurs fans. However, some supporters found time to sing the praises of Japhet Tanganga, who did well enough against the mesmerising City attack.
On a night of misery, the young defender provided Spurs fans with some solace. Twitter, then, was full of comments praising Tanganga who clearly did his best to impress Jose Mourinho tonight.
