Spurs managed to creep past Southampton tonight thanks to a late Heung-Min Son penalty ensured they got the win against the Saints.

A much improved second-half performance meant Spurs had too much for Southampton in the end. Gareth Bale equalised in the second half, before Heung-Min Son then scored before seeing his effort disallowed.

However, Son got his goal anyway just moments later when VAR intervened to award Spurs a late penalty, which the South Korean duly obliged in slotting into the Southampton goal.

There were a number of excellent performances from Spurs players on display tonight. None more so than Sergio Reguilon, who impressed throughout and will be firmly in Mason’s thoughts going forward.

Reguilon was excellent on the night, and Twitter was full of comments praising his performance against the Saints.
