Kemar Roofe’s return from injury is undoubtedly a boost for Leeds United given his early season form, but it also provides a selection headache for Marcelo Bielsa.
In Roofe’s absence, Welshman Tyler Roberts has taken his chance very well indeed. The former West Brom hitman lead the line with aplomb and scored the goals that many feared Roofe’s absence would see Leeds lose.
But how does Bielsa get the best out of both? Can they play in the same team or will one have to settle for being supersub?
Bielsa’s preference for a lone striker and a mobile midfield around that appears to put paid to the prospect of the pair being unleashed as a front two.

The duo started together against Blackburn at the weekend, but Roberts was shunted out to the wing while Roofe returned as the central striker.
The move didn’t work as Leeds were largely stifled by Tony Mowbray’s side, who were good value for their hard-fought win.
In truth, neither man is at his most comfortable out wide. Provided Roofe returns as planned, perhaps now is the time to provide Roberts with some respite.
He has been in great form and been rewarded with international recognition but players as young as him generally do not sustain that form all season. For now, supersub is Roberts’ optimum role.
