Harry Winks completed 90 minutes in the win over PSV Eindhoven in midweek – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter were blown away by the quality of his performance.
The central midfielder caught the eye with his efficient display, where he was brilliant in possession and covered his side defensively.
Spurs earned a narrow 2-1 win in the Champions League group stage fixture to keep their qualification hopes alive and it took an own goal in the 89th minute to secure three points.
Mauricio Pochettino was without Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele for the contest, which is why he opted to give Winks a crucial role in the centre of the park.
Winks acted as the screen in front of the defence against PSV and is beginning to recapture his best form following a consistent run of starts.
The 22-year-old England international is a pass master that came through the club’s ranks and is turning in mature performances in the first team.
A selection of Spurs fans highlighted his colossal impact against PSV and believe he was vital in earning the win, as he almost single-handedly controlled the midfield.
Here are some of the Spurs tweets hailing Winks’ latest display:

Harry Kane is going to get all the praise for scoring the goals. Quite rightly so. However, for me, Harry Winks was a monster in the midfield tonight. He ran the game. What a performance.#OneOfOurOwn #COYS #THFC
