Idrissa Gueye is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United – and some Everton fans on Twitter are strongly against the idea of allowing him to make a switch to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old is being lined up to replace Ander Herrera at Manchester United by the English giants (Evening Standard).
The report explains that the midfielder could potentially cost under £30million to sign from the Merseyside club.
Gueye has been a consistent performer since he joined Everton back in 2016 from Aston Villa and is thriving right now under boss Marco Silva.
The defensive midfielder is extremely intelligent when it comes to breaking up play and it’s no surprise that a top-six club is lining him up.
He’s made 121 tackles in the top flight this season (Premier League official website), which is second in the division only behind Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.
Gueye is a vital part of the starting XI, which is why it’s no surprise a selection of Everton fans don’t want him to exit.
One supporter suggested that he should be worth closer to £60million, while another feels that a move to Manchester United would hardly be a major upgrade.
