Arsenal have left things late on transfer deadline day, but now they could get a last-minute deal done.

Arsenal have been looking for a new attacker for quite some time now.

Kingsley Coman was linked just before deadline day, and the big story in the final hours of the window has been about Raheem Sterling.

Sterling has been strongly linked to Arsenal on deadline day, and this deal now looks like it is possible.

Arsenal are back in talks over this deal, and according to the BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella, there is optimism over this deal getting done.

Raheem Sterling to Arsenal starting to look likely

According to Kinsella there is optimism that Sterling’s move to Arsenal can now go ahead.

Kinsella reported earlier today that there was a huge stumbling block in this deal, but now, it looks as though some sort of agreement is possible.

Sterling to Arsenal could happen on loan late in the day, and it’s fair to say that this is one of the stories of the summer.

Raheem Sterling’s best case scenario

This genuinely couldn’t have played out any better for Raheem Sterling.

Sterling’s family are said to be settled in London, and now, arguably the best team in the capital city want to sign him.

There’s so much about Sterling to Arsenal that makes sense.

The Gunners have wanted a new attacker for a while, and the £50m man absolutely fits the bill. After all, he knows Mikel Arteta well from his time at Manchester City.

This is a very complex situation due to Sterling’s huge wages, but there is now optimism that a deal can be done before 11PM.

As always, there are going to be late fireworks on deadline day, and Arsenal could be about to pull of one of the blockbuster deals of the summer.

With just hours to go until the deadline, Arsenal might be able to pull a Sterling-shaped rabbit out of the hat.
