Something isn’t right at Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been terrible since pretty much day one this season, and now, they’re out of Europe altogether after a loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Erik Ten Hag’s side are struggling right now, and there are murmurs that the manager has lost the dressing room.
Speaking on Off The Ball, former Ireland captain, Kenny Cunningham, has been discussing United’s situation, and he says it now looks as though Marcus Rashford has downed tools at Old Trafford after a solid season last time around.

Rashford looks like he’s downed tools
Cunningham shared his verdict on the attacker.
“He was the type of player you thought Ten Hag would build around, you’d trust him with your life in terms of performance, attitude, mentality, we need more Marcus Rashford’s in the team, but all of a sudden we’re watching this at the moment and everyone is looking at him saying he’s playing poorly, but nobody has put their finger on it. Why is his attitude so bad? It can be the most innocuous things, maybe a bit of treatment from Ten Hag, he was late for the meeting and was dropped for Wolves, a bit of exposure for his party, and maybe this is his blowback ‘I’m downing tools’.” Cunningham said.
Hit and miss
This has really been the story of Rashford’s career so far.
When he’s switched on and playing with confidence, he’s one of the best attackers in the Premier League, but keeping him at that level for a sustained period is proving to be an impossible task.
For the last four seasons, Rashford has been remarkably hit and miss, and sadly, he’s not a player who can be turned to when the chips are down.
Rashford may well get back to his best soon, but it may take a managerial change to spark that improvement.
