Leeds United have delivered some welcome injury news to their fans on Twitter on Monday morning, as they posted a video of duo Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts undergoing some intense training-ground routines.
Roberts had fluid drained from his knee at the end of last season, with the 20-year-old already somewhat prone to injury after suffering a foot injury that kept him sidelined for six months – after joining Leeds in January 2018.
Nothing has since been mentioned about the injury, but the video on Twitter will come as good news to Leeds fans. Similarly, 28-year-old Ayling looks as though he is closing in on a return to fitness.
The right-back underwent surgery at the start of the season on his ankle, but the £750,000 (Mail) star could be set to return soon with the operation only a minor procedure. Now, the duo could be returning soon – as the video shows them in action.

TBR’s view – Ayling and Roberts return shows improved Leeds cover
Last season, Marcelo Bielsa’s preference to play with a small squad in a gruelling Championship campaign forced the Argentine manager into bringing in plenty of youngsters. Eventually, injuries tolled up, and it saw Leeds die off.
But this season, the cover is much better. Ayling and Roberts’ returns ate proof of that, because the duo will struggle to retain their place in the side. Ayling, one of the first names on the team sheet, is unlikely to replace Stuart Dallas.
Dallas has been in sensational form from right-back and scored against Stoke on Saturday, while Adam Forshaw has started well alongside Matuesz Klich. Roberts and Ayling may have to wait, but it shows off Leeds’ superb cover.
