Some Spurs fans reckon Dennis Cirkin may have just played his last game in the Lilywhites shirt.

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham have been in talks with Sunderland over potentially selling the 19-year-old.

And football.london’s Alasdair Gold has claimed that Cirkin looks likely to leave Spurs after turning down a new deal.

Despite speculation linking the left-back with a departure from Tottenham, he featured in Spurs’ latest Under-23s outing.

Wayne Burnett named Cirkin in his starting XI for Saturday’s friendly at Barnet, which finished 1-1.

Here is what some Spurs fans said on social media:

Cirkin, who penned his first professional contract in 2019, is said to have a lot of fans at Spurs.

Former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho rated Cirkin highly as well, deeming him a “kid with a lot of quality”.

Mourinho also said: “I like Dennis very, very much, he works really hard.”

The defender was on the bench for two Europa League games – against Royal Antwerp and Ludogorets – last season.
