'An absolute rock': Don Hutchinson says one Everton player was crucial for his teammate against Chelsea
It was one of those days at Goodison Park today as Everton saw off Chelsea to keep their survival hopes firmly alive.
Frank Lampard was looking for a big performance from his team today as Burnley won on Saturday, and he got it in abundance from a Toffees side who looked determined to deliver. The goal came from Richarlison, who tucked under Edouard Mendy to send Goodison into raptures. Of course, Lampard will be concerned about the upcoming investigation into Richarlison’s celebrations.
However, aside from that moment, there was so much to like about Everton’s display. A number of players stood up to be counted, and watching on was former Everton midfielder, Don Hutchinson. Taking to Twitter, the ex-Toffee was clearly delighted with the performance, and singled out Yerry Mina for being so good in defence.

Mina is one of a number of Everton players who are more or less guaranteed a move if they go down. The big defender has been crucial when fit, and there is no way he’ll be in the Championship.
Everton now faces five huge games of Premier League football. It is in their hands, and both Leeds and Burnley will be nervously looking over their shoulders once again.
TBR’s View: Mina And Richarlison Superb For Everton
Everton fans needed their big players to step up to the plate today and they got their wish. Mina, along with the likes of Richarlison and Seamus Coleman, were right at it from minute one.
Goodison is so hard to play at when it’s like it was today. The home games will be crucial for Lampard and Everton, and if they turn up like they did today, then points can be had.
Hutchison’s tweet here sums up how a lot of Everton fans probably felt today, and for Toffees fans, long may that feeling continue.
