Don Hutchison says one Liverpool player was simply 'outrageous' today
Don Hutchison has praised Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold following his impressive display on Saturday.
The Reds maintained their winning start in the Premier League thanks to a 2-0 win over Burnley at Anfield.
Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute when Diogo Jota headed Kostas Tsimikas’ cross home.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges then saw VAR rule out a Mohamed Salah strike for offside towards the end of the first half.
The Clarets threatened after the break and Ashley Barnes found the back of the net, but it was disallowed due to offside.
And Liverpool then made the points safe on 69 minutes when Sadio Mane finished off a fine team move.
Alexander-Arnold played his teammate in for the second goal and was thoroughly impressive throughout the 90.
“Incisive passing and deliveries from the right caused danger,” wrote the Liverpool Echo, who gave him 8 out of 10.
“Defensively tested by the lively McNeil first half but few worries after that, and great assist for second goal.”
Here is what Hutchison said about the 22-year-old Liverpool ace:
The Reds are in action next Saturday when they host Chelsea at Anfield in a 5:30pm kickoff.
