Don Hutchison has taken to Instagram to take a cheeky swipe at Celtic after the Hoops dropped more points in the race for the Scottish Premiership title – posting a picture of Steven Gerrard and his Rangers coaching staff.
Following the weekend’s results, Celtic continue to sit a whopping 21 points behind their Old Firm rivals. Rangers missed the opportunity to stretch that lead to 23, after Celtic failed to beat Livingston at Parkhead – drawing 0-0.
Rangers traveled to Fir Park on Sunday afternoon to take on Motherwell and Devante Cole scored, only for Cedric Itten to eventually cancel that out. Celtic do boast three games in hand, but they are struggling to win at the moment.
Rangers-supporting Hutchison took to Instagram to tease Celtic and the fact that they have three games in hand – which would still leave Rangers with a 12-point lead should the Hoops win all three.
TBR’s view – Celtic have to have perfect run-in
Celtic have to win every single game between now and the end of the season to stand a chance of catching at Rangers. Nine points would come from the three games in hand, and six from the next two Old Firm outings.
That reduces 21 to just six, and then Celtic would have to hope Rangers drop those points elsewhere. Celtic need to be perfect from here on in – but looking at the side currently, they will struggle to to do that.
