Don Hutchison endorses Everton interest in Moussa Diaby with two-word tweet
Everton have made contact with Bayer Leverkusen over the potential signing of Moussa Diaby, according to Foot Mercato – and ex-Toffees star Don Hutchison had endorsed the move on Twitter.
The 21-year-old looks set for a bright future and has been inspirational during 2020/21. In 42 outings for the Bundesliga outfit, he’s bagged 10 goals and registered 15 assists.
Typically, Diaby operates on the left-win, although he has made 11 appearances on the opposite flank during the current campaign.
The Frenchman has 11 caps for the under-21 ranks and now Everton are keen on trying to sign the youngster ahead of next season.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team are still fighting to secure a place in Europe next season. If they can seal a place in the Europa League, it would be a step in the right direction and would help with the summer recruitment drive.
Hutchison spent two years playing for the Toffees and he seems excited to see his former club linked with a move to Goodison Park.

More options out wide would certainly be useful to Everton when the summer transfer window comes around.
Although Everton have been pretty impressive this season, they have lacked a bit of quality in the final third on occasions.
Ancelotti is one of the most renowned managers in world football and he’ll have designs on breaking into the top-four in the coming years.
Signing players like Diaby would certainly help him achieve that and adding the trickster would see him sign one of Europe’s top-performing wingers.
The former PSG youngster might not come cheap. He is under contract in Germany until 2025 and Leverkusen won’t want to lose such a superb young talent.
Hutchison will certainly hope a deal can be done.
