Dominic Calvert-Lewin has wished Nathan Broadhead good luck on Instagram after he left Goodison Park on a season-long loan.
Broadhead, 23, completed a move to League One club Sunderland on Monday on a temporary basis.
The attacker recently penned a new two-year contract at Goodison Park, but will spend this 2021/22 campaign at the Stadium of Light.
He’s a Welsh forward that’s come through the Toffees academy and was even on the bench for the weekend’s 3-1 win over Southampton in the Premier League opener. However, he’s now going in search of regular first-team minutes.
He’s only ever played two first-team matches in an Everton shirt, plus 22 senior games during a previous loan at Burton Albion.
The striker scored 11 goals in 18 Premier League 2 fixtures last season and will hope this year at Sunderland can be a real breakout campaign.
Calvert-Lewin responded with a four-word message to Broadhead’s Instagram post confirming his loan exit. In addition, the likes of Tom Davies and Demarai Gray also commented.

Nathan Broadhead entering crucial season
For Broadhead, he’s played very little first-team football given he turned 23 in April. But, that certainly doesn’t mean it’s too late for him.
It feels like joining a Sunderland team that should be chasing promotion in League One could be a great move.
Sunderland are a big club with pressure on the each season, so a lot of eyes will be on Broadhead.
