Dominic Matteo and Ben Parker has looked to get Leeds United’s fans rocking ahead of Wednesday night’s Championship play-off semi-final against Derby County.
Leeds take a 1-0 lead into the second leg of the semi-final tie, after Kemar Roofe scored a second-half winner at Pride Park in the first leg. Now at Elland Road, it is advantage Leeds.
Saturday’s first-leg win saw Leeds make it three wins out of three against Derby, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side will now be without Roofe, Tyler Roberts, Gjanni Alioski and Barry Douglas for the second leg.
Leeds’ Champions League hero Matteo and ex-Leeds left-back Parker both posted on Twitter ahead of the hugely important clash, which last night also saw West Brom knocked out by Aston Villa.
TBR’s view
Leeds have the advantage, the psychological edge after three wins in three, and the cauldron that is Elland Road on their side ahead of what is one of the club’s most important games in years.
If Leeds do not manage to surpass Derby on Wednesday night, serious question marks will be asked given the strength of the position they are currently in. Facing Villa in the final, though, is a different question.
