Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino may have a bold decision to make this weekend with Watford coming to town.
The Hornets are currently bottom of the Premier League table and are the only top-flight side yet to win a game.
The club have already parted ways with Javi Gracia, and in his place is Quique Sanchez Flores for his second stint as manager.
Tottenham have been having real problems of their own, but Pochettino will see this fixture as an absolutely golden opportunity for his team to make a statement.
And perhaps it’s an opportunity for Dele Alli, who has been struggling for some time now with his fitness and form.
Alli, who was left out of the latest England squad by Gareth Southgate, has made just four appearances so far this term and fans are desperately hoping to see him get back to his best after the international break.
Encouragingly, Alli’s record against Watford is very respectable having made seven goal contributions in eight appearances in all competitions against them (five goals, two assists).
Perhaps that will see Pochettino gamble on the out-of-form 23-year-old at the expense of maybe Christian Eriksen, who isn’t showing his best form at the moment.
