Hugo Lloris helped France to a 2-1 win over Germany on Tuesday night – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter annihilated their own player for his individual performance.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper was unable to keep out a first-half Toni Kroos penalty despite getting a glove on the ball, but did make a number of quality saves in the game to keep the score down.
World Cup winners France then fought back via two goals from Antoine Griezmann in the second-half to secure the victory in the Nations League.
Lloris lifted the World Cup in the summer for France and is considered one of the best goalkeepers in football right now.
He’s an excellent shot-stopper, but there are still questions marks about his quality on the ball and the way he plays out from the back.

A selection of Spurs fans were quick to criticise Lloris after his latest international outing, with one even suggesting the North London club should be looking to sell him.
He has had a disrupted season so far due to a thigh injury, but remains the number one for both club and country.
