Tottenham right-back Djed Spence will more than likely leave the club in January, as the former Middlesbrough man looks for first-team football.
Spence signed for Spurs in a deal worth around £20m in the summer. He helped Nottingham Forest win promotion but since then, has struggled to get into the Tottenham team.
However, reports a few days ago suggested Spence would actually remain at Spurs in January, despite the lack of opportunity.

But now, according to ESPN, things have changed again and it’s now more likely than not that Spence will indeed move out on loan. Four Premier League clubs are said to have asked about taking him, while there is also interest from Germany in the form of Bayer Leverkusen.
Tottenham’s pursuit of a new right back has been well documented. Pedro Porro of Sporting Lisbon is thought to be the main target, with Emerson Royal likely to be sold to make away.
That would leave Spence behind Porro and Mat Doherty in the pecking order. A loan move, then, would appear to suit all parties right now.
TBR’s View: Spence needs to go and play football
For all the ability and athleticism Djed Spence has, there is no point in him sitting around and doing nothing right now.
Spence needs to go and play football, it’s as simple as that. He was excellent for Forest as they went up and the talent is there with him. But he needs games, or he risks going stale and ultimately going backwards.
It’s little wonder that clubs are keen. Getting PL players in in January can be tough and Spence will no doubt be appealing for a number of clubs. Certainly, those battling relegation could well see Spence as a player with a point to prove.
Tottenham, meanwhile, will continue to press on with their own transfer search.
