‘Disillusioned’… Pundit says 24-year-old player might be unhappy at Arsenal now

Eddie Nketiah has really fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal.

The striker had a really good start to the season, scoring some big goals and turning up in some big moments, but over the past few months, his standards have slipped.

Nketiah hasn’t scored a league goal since October, and now, it looks as though both Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard are ahead of him in the striking pecking order.

Speaking on the Handbrake Off Podcast, Adrian Clarke has been discussing Nketiah’s situation, and he says that the striker may soon be disillusioned with life at Arsenal after spending so much time on the bench.

Clarke shared his verdict on how the 24-year-old may be feeling.

“He’s not having a great season and in truth he’s not had a great few months. With what’s happened as of late with Trossard and Havertz getting ahead of him you’d imagine that Eddie is quite disillusioned as well,” Clarke said.

Frustrating

It must be so frustrating for Nketiah to be in this situation.

This really looked as though it could be a breakout season for the striker, but he’s gone backwards in recent months and we have no idea where his next start will come from.

With so many rumours suggesting that Arsenal will buy a striker this summer, Nketiah’s time at the club could be coming to an end, and it looks as though his time as an Arsenal player may end with a whimper rather than a bang.

Nketiah is a talented player who should have a bright career ahead of him, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely that he’s going to ever truly make the grade and become the number one striker at Arsenal.
