Newcastle United have been busy in the January transfer window as they look to sign players who can keep them in the Premier League.
The Magpies have a sizeable war chest behind them following their long-awaited takeover late last year.
However, Newcastle have so far managed to land just two signings in Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood.

The Magpies have apparently been in talks with multiple players over the past few weeks.
Diego Carlos and Jesse Lingard currently feature high up on the rumour mill.
However, Eddie Howe reportedly wants to sign a new full-back this month too.
On Thursday, the Daily Mail reported that Newcastle have made a £14.5million offer for Bayer Leverkusen’s Mitchel Bakker.
It’s understood the Bundesliga side recognise the business sense of the deal and are willing to negotiate.
They signed Bakker from PSG last year in a deal reportedly worth up to £8million.
Therefore, they would make a healthy and swift profit if they sold him to Newcastle
Meanwhile, the 21-year old Dutchman is apparenly keen to make the move to the Premier League.
Journalist Sami Mokbel understands that Newcastle are pressing ahead in their attempts to bring Bakker to Tyneside.
He told GiveMeSport: “I understand the story is correct.
“Those discussions have taken place, so he’s certainly one that they’re interested in as well.”

“Likes to get up and down the left flank”
Although Bakker has had some injury troubles so far this season, Leverkusen have regularly named him in their starting line-up.
The player has also impressed on the international stage, registering six assists in 12 outings for the Netherlands Under-21s.
Last year, the Bundesliga website compared Bakker to RB Leipzig and Germany defender Marcel Halstenberg.
“He may stand at 6ft 1in tall and have the physical profile of a centre-back,” they wrote.
“But Bakker likes to get up and down the left flank, his anticipation, quick control and turn of pace making him an attacking asset moments after winning back possession.
“The fact Bakker could be used on the left of a three or as a wing-back in a 3-4-3, as well as in his natural slot on the left of a back four, should come in useful to new Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane next season.
“(It) is reminiscent of RB Leipzig and Germany defender Marcel Halstenberg.”
