‘Discussed internally’: Spurs now speaking about signing ‘incredible’ player, he’s wants PL move – Romano

Tottenham Hotspur have finally added a new centre-back to their ranks this summer in the shape of Micky Van de Ven, and they may not be done there.

Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are also keen to add another defender to their ranks.

In fact, Ange Postecoglou has said so much himself, and according to Romano, there is one option that has been discussed internally at Tottenham.

Interestingly, Tottenham have discussed signing Van de Ven’s fellow countryman, Perr Schuurs.

Schuurs would certainly be an interesting option for Spurs.

It is interesting to note that Romano is in fact very close with Schuurs’ agent, George Gardi, interviewing him on his YouTube channel earlier this year.

Schuurs’ agent was very open during that interview, stating that his client could well leave this summer.

“I think it was a very intelligent choice for him to accept the offer from Torino. He has taken one step back for three steps forward in his future. His ambition is to play at the highest level of European football. He’s had an amazing season so there are several clubs interested in him, and we will discuss with Torino if it is a decision that is positive for all parties, it could be an option to evaluate this summer,” Gardi said.

It’s clear that Schuurs could leave this summer, and now, Romano says that he’s keen to move to the Premier League.

Unfortunately for Tottenham, they’re not the only gig in town for Schuurs if he wants to come to England.

Indeed, Liverpool have also been strongly linked with the player, and with the Reds still reportedly keen to add another centre-back to their ranks this summer, that is a move that can’t be discounted at this point.

Where the ‘incredible’ defender ends up remains to be seen, but he’s certainly one to keep an eye on this summer.
