‘Disasterclass’: Fans react as Jack Grealish makes his Manchester City debut

Jack Grealish made his debut for Manchester City today in the Community Shield final, but it didn’t quite go to the plan for the England man.

Introduced in the second half with the game at 0-0, Grealish could have little impact and a penalty from Kelechi Iheanacho ensured Leicester took first blood heading into the new season.

Of course, all eyes were on Grealish, and not just from the Manchester City fans on the day. His £100m move was always going to mean everyone wanted to see how he did, and Twitter was full of comments as you’d expect.

But while some thought Grealish did well enough on his debut – mainly City fans – other supporter groups didn’t seem overly impressed.

Of course, it’s early days for Grealish and City. Further, it is only the Community Shield, with City having far bigger fish to fry in the coming months.
