'Disaster': Some Rangers fans gutted over 'nightmare' rumour ahead of Europa League clash
A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have bemoaned the reports claiming Ibrox defender Connor Goldson hasn’t travelled to the Czech Republic.
Steven Gerrard’s charges will take on Sparta Prague on Thursday in the Europa League.
According to several outlets including the Daily Record, Goldson didn’t join the Rangers travelling pack for the European trip.
It’s worth mentioning the Light Blues haven’t yet confirmed whether the 28-year-old will indeed be absent, as of Wednesday evening.
However, Gerrard did mention at his presser how the covid testing situation was messing with his pre-match preparations.
“I’m still waiting on the results of certain tests that were done on Tuesday, waiting for them to be negative to see who I’ve got available,” he said.
Given Gerrard’s comments and numerous other outlets and sources also reporting this, it’s certainly a rumour that has legs.
Even though Goldson’s recent form has been patchy, some Rangers fans are still gutted that he might not be available:

Goldson not travelling for this game is a bit of a disaster.— Pena Cartel (@PenaCartel) September 29, 2021
Our defence has been leaky as f*ck as it is without having to play a completely new CB pairing in Prague

Rangers began their Europa League campaign with a 2-0 defeat at home against Lyon earlier this month.
Since that loss, the Light Blues have claimed seven points from a possible nine available in the Scottish Premiership.
