‘Disappointed but not surprised’ – Leeds fans react to Kemar Roofe injury blow ahead of Derby return leg

Leeds United will be without Kemar Roofe for the second leg of their play-off semi-final against Derby County.

Derby head to Elland Road hoping to overturn a one-goal deficit. But the scorer of that goal, Roofe, will not be available for this fixture.

The 26-year-old has picked up a calf injury and he will miss this match. It is the latest injury blow for Roofe, who has had several knocks this season.

Roofe has still managed to score 15 goals this season and his strike at Pride Park might prove to be the most important yet.

But he is out for the second leg. This coincides with the return of Patrick Bamford after his suspension for deceiving the match officials against Aston Villa.

Bamford missed the final league game of the season and the first leg against Derby. But he is likely to step straight back into the starting line-up with Roofe out.

Tyler Roberts is also injured so Bielsa’s options are limited. Ryan Edmondson is another possibility but Bamford is likely to be selected.

Here are some tweets from Leeds fans reacting to Roofe’s injury blow.
