Dinamo Zagreb youngster Robbie Burton has posted on Twitter after the former Arsenal academy player watched from the substitutes bench as his side knocked Tottenham out of the Europa League – posting, cheekily: “London is red”.
Burton, 21, joined Zagreb from Arsenal last summer having clocked up 31 appearances for the Gunners’ Under-23 side and even appearing on the bench for the senior side. The Wales Under-19 ace has since played 14 times for Zagreb.
He remained an unused substitute as Spurs surrendered a 2-0 first-leg lead. The brace from Kane last week was wiped out by Zagreb, as Mislav Orsic scored a wonderful hat-trick – taking Zagreb into extra-time and then securing the win.

Spurs missed numerous chances throughout the clash, most notably when 3-0 down. Carlos Vinicius had to react quickly with the goal gaping and while he failed to do so – the ball bobbled to Kane who saw his effort superbly stopped on the line.
It is a dismal defeat for Spurs, who were hoping that given Jose Mourinho’s past in Europe – including a recent Europa League triumph with Man United – could take them to similar glory and end their hunt for a trophy. The focus goes to the league.
The Carabao Cup is also approaching. But Burton posted a cheeky message on Twitter after the loss to his Zagreb side, claiming that both London is red, and Zagreb is blue.
