'Different gravy': Some Rangers fan laud 'special' talent after 2-1 win vs. Real Madrid
Pre-season has been a mixed bag for Rangers so far, but their result against Real Madrid last weekend has certainly been a high point.
The Glasgow giants secured a 2-1 win against the La Liga giants. Goals from Cedrid Itten and Fashion Sakala guided Rangers to an impressive victory over Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Indeed, it was the first goal the Zambian summer signing scored for his new club. And Sakala overall was impressive against Madrid. The striker joined from Oostende following the expiration of his contract last season.
And the 24-year-old made a good account of himself in his Ibrox debut. The attacker put Rangers ahead 55 minutes in against Los Blancos, and Sakala was a menace for the visitors for the majority of the match.
It was an afternoon to remember for Sakala. Furthermore, supporters on social media were pleased with what they saw from their new summer signing from Europe.
Sakala will be key to Rangers UEFA Champions League ambitions. Moreover, scoring against one of Europe’s biggest teams is an excellent way to introduce yourself to supporters.
Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about Sakala’s performance for Rangers against Real Madrid…
