'Dier is going to kill me': Aaron Ramsdale makes England camp claim about Tottenham ace

Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has lifted the lid on one of the group recreational activities in the World Cup camp.

The Three Lions have been playing the card game Werewolf – and apparently, Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier isn’t too good at it.

And Ramsdale joked that Dier was “going to kill” him for suggesting he’s one of the worse players in the England camp.

‘He’s not up there’

Ramsdale was speaking on The Lions’ Den, the England media team’s new series offering an insight into the players’ on and off-pitch happenings.

The Gunners keeper spoke to presenter Josh Denzel about the game, which the players and staff have been playing in their camp – usually after dinner.

In a nutshell, the game pits the villagers against the werewolves. The object of the game is to identify and kill the werewolves hiding amongst the villagers.

“It gets heated,” said Ramsdale, who went on to mention the best and worst players in the Three Lions contingent.

Apparently, James Maddison is so good it’s “annoying”. Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, and Harry Maguire are good too.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount isn’t great as a werewolf. And England Men’s Player Liaison Lewis Maddison is “not good at all” either.

At 12:17, Ramsdale then said: “Eric Dier is going to kill me for not saying his name, but he’s not up there, man.”

The Lions’ Den videos have been great at giving an insight into the England camp.

There’s certainly a great camaraderie, and in terms of how it has translated on the pitch, so far so good.
