‘Diego Costa 2.0’, ‘I am on board’: Some Spurs fans react to links with £22m sharpshooter
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have had their say on report claiming Spurs are ready to meet Fenerbahce’s £22million asking price for Vedat Muriqi, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs have reportedly got their sights on the 25-year-old, who has registered 13 goals and five assists in the Turkish Super Lig this season thus far (Transfermarkt).
There appears to be a lot of interest in Muriqi’s signature stemming from the January transfer window, with Tottenham being joined by Aston Villa and Leicester City in the hunt for his services, according to Turkish Football.

Calciomercato, meanwhile, speculated that Italian side Lazio have also thrown their name in the hat for the Kosovo international, as well as Premier League duo Burnley and Manchester United.
Lazio were hinted to be the favourites for his signature by La Lazio Siamo Noi, who quoted Francesca Alfieri, a lawyer who represents the player’s agent Haluk Canatar, as saying that Muriqi’s “priority is to play in Italy”.
However, Fanatik claims that Tottenham are pushing ahead with their interest and are ready to meet Fenerbahce’s asking price for him.
Spurs are believed to be seeking possible alternatives to Harry Kane, whilst also reportedly having the financial muscle to see off Lazio for his signature.
Here is how some Tottenham fans on social media reacted to the latest report about the 6ft 4in sharpshooter:
Ive said it before, all I want is a striker with 2 legs that can breathe. In all seriousness, he fits the profile of what Mourinho is looking for and would come at a reasonable price. I am on board with this.
