'Didn't see that coming': Spurs fans react to reports Ryan Mason could leave

Spurs fans have been reacting on social media in the last 24 hours, after reports suggested Ryan Mason may leave if he gets a managerial offer.

Mason has got the bug, it seems, after taking charge of Spurs for the final six games this season. The 29-year-old guided the club to four wins from those six games, including some high-scoring affairs.

However, Daniel Levy is said to be looking at other options in terms of who will replace Jose Mourinho permanently. The likes of Antonio Conte, Erik Ten Hag, and Graham Potter, among the names linked.

And with those names linked, the Daily Mail has claimed Mason would be open to leaving Spurs, if he gets a good offer to take over somewhere as manager.

Ryan Mason to leave Spurs?

A number of League One and Championship clubs will be looking for new managers before the start of the season. Mason, then, could well find a route into the game sooner, rather than later.

But Spurs fans on Twitter don’t seem to think Mason is quite ready yet. And if he is to get a job, it seems the consensus is that it should be lower down the ladder for now.

Here, then, is what some Spurs fans had to say as reports suggest Ryan Mason could leave the club.
