Ange Postecoglou has transformed a number of players at Tottenham this season.
Pedro Porro, Heung-Min Son and Richarlison are all playing way better than they did last term, while there’s also been a stark contrast in Yves Bissouma’s form as of late compared to last season.
Indeed, Bissouma has improved massively.
Speaking on the Ballroom Podcast, Bissouma has been discussing his mood at Tottenham, and he says that he’s very happy at Spurs right now, claiming that he’s finally being allowed to play his football.
The podcast’s host, Gaetan Bong, then discussed Bissouma’s happiness at Spurs last season, and the £25m midfielder confirmed that he didn’t enjoy his first season at Tottenham.

Bissouma didn’t enjoy his first year at Spurs
The midfielder spoke with his former Brighton teammate about his first year at Spurs.
“I’m really happy you know, finally I am playing my football,” Bissouma said.
“This is the connection, because you didn’t say anything but I know what you’re talking about. I want the people to understand how much I know this guy, you didn’t say it, but what I feel is that last year you didn’t enjoy it, am I right or wrong?” Bissouma was asked.
“Yeah, you’re right,” Bissouma said.
“I know the type of football you like, I know the type of manager you like, the people who believe in you, people who say you are the best and when they believe in you, you’re crazy bro,” Bong said.
Can’t blame him
Bissouma didn’t enjoy his first year at Tottenham, and we really can’t blame him for feeling this way.
The midfielder wasn’t allowed to play his game under Antonio Conte, such an expressive player was asked to be a pragmatist, and that was never going to work out.
Luckily, Bissouma has rediscovered his mojo under Ange Postecoglou this season, and he’s been one of Spurs’ best players this season.
The less said about the Antonio Conte era at Tottenham the better.
