Tottenham will reportedly set their sights on Sevilla star Jules Kounde, who is currently at Euro 2020 with pre-tournament favourites France.
Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Spurs are making the centre-back position a priority to strengthen in this summer’s transfer window.
Di Marzio suggests that Sevilla defender Kounde may be their next target.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano supports the Spurs links to Kounde. In addition, he’s suggested that Sevilla could sell him for less than his £69million (€80million) release clause.
Kounde recently had a challenging game in France’s 2-2 draw against Portugal at the Euros, but he was playing out of position in a more unfamiliar right-back role.
He’s a dominant centre-half by trade that is a real talisman at Spanish club Sevilla. He made 49 appearances across all competitions last season.
The Frenchman’s performances are so impressive due to the fact he’s only 22.

Kounde signing would cheer up miserable Tottenham fans
Spurs supporters are still waiting for their new manager to be appointed, so a top signing this window should at least lift spirits.
It’s unclear on if they could tempt Kounde to north London, but he’d be a quality addition.
Firstly, the 22-year-old is a young centre-half with so much potential to grow into a future star. Secondly, he’s got the athleticism, pace and experience to suggest he would be ready to swap Spain for England. Finally, he would strengthen a key area of the pitch that looks like in the current Spurs squad.
