'Devastating': Some fans hail Arsenal star's international display tonight

Arsenal star Kieran Tierney put in a superb performance as he helped Scotland run out 3-2 winners over Israel on Saturday night.

The Gunners ace combined well with Andrew Robertson on the left side of the pitch in the World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park.

Tierney also played a key part in the build up to John McGinn’s goal – Scotland’s first equaliser – in the 29th minute.

The Arsenal speedster was a real driving force for his nation going forward, making two key passes and playing several accurate long balls.

Scotland struggled in the beginning, falling behind to Eran Zahavi’s superb free kick after just five minutes.

Even after McGinn equalised just before the half-hour mark, Israel struck back almost immediately through Munas Dabbur.

But then came the Scotland fightback as Lyndon Dykes volleyed home an equaliser on 55 minutes, following a lengthy VAR check.

And four minutes into injury time, Scott McTominay bundled home to send Hampden into raptures and give Steve Clarke’s side a famous victory.

Here is what some Arsenal and Scotland fans said about Tierney during and after the game:

Scotland are now two wins from a playoff spot, their victory putting them four points clear of Israel with three games to play.
