Derek Ferguson has told Open Goal’s Right In The Coupon that both Celtic and Rangers should be looking at Hibernian attacker Kevin Nisbet, after a stunning first campaign at Easter Road following his summer move from Dunfermline.
Nisbet, 23, joined Hibs from Dunfermline for £800,000 (Courier) in the summer having netted a stunning 23 goals in 32 league and cup appearances last season. This season, he has coped with the step up to the top tier with aplomb.
This season, he has had a hand in 18 goals for Hibs – scoring 13 goals in his 30 league and cup appearances as well as laying on five assists. Nisbet could have been on the move in January again, with Birmingham City making £2.8million (Courier) offer.
Rangers icon Ferguson thinks both Celtic and Rangers should have been looking at uncapped Scottish attacker Nisbet in the January transfer window – and suggests the two Old Firm sides could keep an eye on him going forward.
